If you are looking to move into classroom training, this is the qualification for you. This can develop your skills to allow you to access other employment opportunities. You may have heard this qualification referred to as PTLLS in the past - this is it's replacement.
Will this qualification help me as an ADI?
Many ADIs are successfully offering training within a classroom environment in addition to training they provide in car. Some of these provide speed awareness courses, or other similar driver awareness courses, where people are given the option to attend following prosecution for a driving offence. Others provide theory training within schools, giving people access to driver training from a younger age.
Is it difficult to achieve the qualification?
Like any qualification, it takes some effort and the development of new and existing skills to achieve. There are many similarities between the role of a classroom trainer and an ADI - making it easier to take on these new skills. You will be guided through the process by your tutor and all the guidance you need will be available.
Is the qualification nationally recognised?
Yes - it is a BTEC qualification and we have approval to offer it with Pearsons, the largest awarding body in the UK.
